Simply put, I love traveling. Especially when I get the chance to see someplace new- like we will for the next week and a half.
See you all on October 1st!

and none of them have to do with the house…
We’re about to fly off on our grand tour of Europe (also known as GTE-which makes it sound like a car lubricant, but I digress). And while I’m THRILLED about the trip- I also recognize the dollar’s weakness in Europe, and that the money we’re spending could be used on…want to guess?
Oh, the house? Yeah, the house.
To which makes me debate- what is more important? Fixing up the house? Or taking a GTE?
Pros to Fixing the House
Pros to GTE
Ok, so I’m not going to give up the GTE (it won by one bullet point anyway)- but do still feel a little bit of guilt over the trip. I guess I’ll just have to drown it in Oktoberfest beer and Venetian tiramisu…
I never loved the actual first day of school- too many nerves. But I always loved the anticipation of the first day.

Ok…I didn’t say it was a house project…but it does help dress up my arm…
AND it was a “do-it-yourselfer” - I have the little threads and fabric bits to prove it.

With multiple house projects still hanging out there, major vacations to prep for and coming up quickly, work deadlines, and winter bearing down on us- finding focus on any one thing seems tough…it’s like I’m running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off…Have I mentioned that I tend to procrastinate? As in, I’m a procrastination queen?
I just need one of those personal organizers- but I’d probably lose that too.
Any suggestions on how to focus on one thing? (You know, other than doing the hard work of focusing on one thing?)

from about 600 miles away…but it made me feel like they looking right over my shoulder…

Love this gate from This Old House! We were planning on replacing our ugly fence soon anyway (soon being a relative term- more like in the next year). Now I’m going to have to keep this in the back of my mind until spring!
