We finally met the tenant that had been kicking me in the bladder and the stomach, and she’s perfect.

The change over to parenthood has been surreal- I look at her and wonder at times how she ever fit inside of me only two weeks ago. Or that we were able to create something so amazing- I mean, most of my projects have a few flaws that some spackle or paint has to cover up.
But none of that is needed here.
Needless to say, the topic of my blog might just have expanded quite a bit.
Welcome home to our new baby girl.
June 9, 2009 at 9:48pm.
9 pounds, 4 ounces.
21 inches long.
We’ll be off recovering for a week or two but will update as soon as possible.
The upstairs is done! That is if you don’t count bits of drywall and paint touch-ups that still need to be done- which I don’t… We do still have to make a decision on the flooring (it’s rough wood right now), but it’ll have to wait until later this summer.
I had halfway thought that we wouldn’t finish the project before the baby showed up- but not only did we finish, we finished her room too! It’s a summer miracle…
Enough talk, more pictures, right?

Eww…just eww…

During:

No insulation! In February! Great for your heating bills!
And after:

The same corner- with new closet…

…and the lights I raved about from Restoration Hardware.

Going into the baby’s room…I thought the saying was particularly apt…
