Frenzy of Fabric

A quick errand required me to go to the craft store this weekend- and besides getting some amusement in dodging toddlers, squealing bridesmaids, and two grandmothers haggling over a last skein of yarn- I got caught up in all the new fabrics that are out.

Now, normally I’m not much of a fabric girl- I don’t own a sewing machine, so if something requires more than my pitiful hand sewing can handle- forget about it. I have no idea how Laura Ingalls did it back on the prairie- her handshake must have crushed bones…

But I digress.

Now that I have a cushion and new curtains to consider for the kitchen renovation- I suddenly get delusions of grandeur that MAKING some would be cheaper (obviously) than buying some… and yes, I understand the huge obstacle I outlined above.

They’re just…so…pretty…

  1. LOVE those fabrics… especially #2 and #5! Curtains and pillows aren’t TOO hard…

Not too hard at all. I’ll give you a hand in May-just get an idea of what you’d like. Maybe we’ll even shop for an ‘early’ birthday present while I’m there! Making curtains??? In my sleep with one hand tied behind my back and blindfolded! We’ll get it done.
