Tip of the Iceberg

I think I might have a problem…I may be just a tiny bit obsessed with fabric.  Especially if I see it on sale.

Are you familiar with the book “If you give a mouse a cookie…”?   Basically, if you give a mouse a cookie, it ends up snowballing out of control and you end up back at the beginning again, with the mouse wanting another cookie.

In a nutshell, that’s my life with fabric.

And if I’m being honest, that’s my life with a lot of other things too…Home renovation.  Toddler clothes.  Baking.  Purchasing home decorating goods.   It always ends up with me dreaming up wild and improbable scenarios (Handmade baby clothes!  My own fruit trees for jam!  Completely replacing our roof with solar panels!) and ending up back at the beginning.

Not helping my compulsion?  There is an awesome locally-owned fabric store about 5 minutes from my house.  5 minutes people.

And did I mention that I got more advice and help in the ten minutes I spent there than I have in all of my shopping trips to Joann’s combined?

If feels like someone just passed me a cookie.
