Flying Over Mordor

Or, you know, the Alps at dawn.

Ok!  While my camera battery charges enough to allow me to download the pictures of the home improvement project I completed this weekend (got all that?), we’re going to talk about my other favorite topic of conversation.

No, not babies.

Though this does kind of concern babies…

No, not shoes.

Though I have a deep and abiding love for shoes too.

TRAVEL!

Ah…travel.

With Brisket’s deployment, he’s going to be based in Germany- which justsohappens to be a perfect launching point to reach many other European destinations.   As I mentioned before, Li and I are hoping to join him for 6 months.  And while we will be staying in one place during the week- we will have the opportunity to travel together on the weekends!  <insert angelic singing here>  BUT, we will also have a very independent toddler on our hands too.  A toddler that often insists on doing things by herself, including walking VERY SLOWLY.

So, question of the day to all you other travelers out there- where would you go if you were centrally located in Europe for 6 months with a 2 1/2 year old?

I have not yet had the privilege to travel to Europe, but hear the Scandinavian countries are a great summer destination for a family. Of course the further north you go, the longer the day. Not sure if this would bother Li’s sleeping patterns.

I would say do not go to Morocco. My friend is there right now and hating it, nothing like what you think it would be like.
